The delicate fabric is woven with cotton yarn in the warp and weft, while zari or plain or dyed yarn is incorporated in the extra weft, creating a captivating tone-on-tone effect. The masterful assimilation of figurines, florals, and geometric patterns, coupled with the intersection of transparency and opaqueness, results in an intricate pattern suitable for angarakhas, caps, coats, tunics and other artistic creations, rather than saris.
