Traditional Kilim Wool Panja Dhurrie

Fringed at both ends, this handwoven wool kilim is organised around three nested diamonds, flanked by brown stepped guards. At 5 × 8 ft, the pale centre is bordered by russet, ochre, olive and blue details. Weavers use a panja to compact the weft for a flat weave. There is something inviting about the small, graphic marks along its frame. Ground it with a camel sofa and a dark timber coffee table.
