Fine streaks of beige and grey run the length of this Bhadohi rug, closer to brushed metal than a soft-edged painterly abstract. A Bhadohi weaver hand-knots the field in wool and viscose, a craft that carries a Geographical Indication tag. There is something restrained about this much texture with this little colour variation. Pale oak furniture keeps the streaking as the room's clearest pattern.
