Description

Mustard parallelograms are arranged in alternating rows across the ivory field of this 4 × 6 ft cotton Panja dhurrie. Each row reverses direction, forming ivory diamonds and chevrons between the marks. A Panja weaver compacts cotton weft with an iron-toothed beater. There is something buoyant about the shift between mustard and ivory. Place it with pale oak, woven chairs and warm ceramics.
