Description

From the outer edge, an artisan coils a flat jute braid through narrowing rectangles for this beige natural-fibre rug. Three strands are plaited into one cord, stitched at each turn and bound at the back. Variations in the undyed fibre remain visible across the precise geometry. There is something tidy about a pattern closing toward one point. Pale oak, linen, cane and stoneware suit it well.
